If you're a designer you have it pretty lucky. It seems like there's a new breakthrough product coming out all the time that's going to make your job much easier. If you want to stay at the top of your game you have to keep up with these advancements in technology otherwise someone is going to swoop in under your feet and take your clients away from you. For a few years now they've been pumping out some amazing apps that would put a big smile on any anyone's face. Let's have a look at them so you can stay firmly routed at the top of the designer totem pole.

What The Font
No designer has the ability to remember every font, especially since there are new ones coming out all the time. There's going to be times when you see something when you're out. You can use this app to take a photo of the font and it will go through its database and find you the closest match. It's the easiest way in the world to find out what you need to know without doing much work. Once you get home you can download it.

Adobe Kuler
If you look through all the apps you're going to come across a huge amount of color scheme ones. Some of them will be great, whereas some of them deserve to be left on the shelf. With Adobe products you always know what you are getting yourself in for. They don't try to sell you crappy stuff. This color scheme app is solid and you'll get great benefit from it.

Penultimate
Everyone has a notepad in their collection. Something you use to squiggle down all the ideas that pop into your head. You don't have to carry that notebook about with you anymore once you have Penultimate. It allows you to write and sketch anything your heart desires. It's a great little app for playing around with while you are sitting around at night.

PhotoshopSkills
Once someone is skilled at using Photoshop they will definitely be a great designer. That person should be able to earn lots of money. If you're new to the design game and want to brush up on your skills then this app is definitely for you. It will teach you come great professional skills and sneaky tips and take your Photoshop ability to a new level.

Adobe Proto
Here's Adobe once again coming up with a super app. If you're into designing websites and applications you like to wireframe them out. You can do it easily on your tablet using Proto. You can also do all sorts of other stuff, like communicating with the rest of your team and sharing all your good ideas.

Instagram
You have probably heard about Instagram. It's the company Facebook bought for a cool one billion dollars. There must be something up with the app. It allows you to take your great photos and share them with your friends. If you are really good at what you do you might be able to build up a nice following.

iFontMaker
Maybe you don't want to use any fonts that are available to you. You want to create one of your own. iFontMaker makes it easy for you, if you know what you're doing. You could make one to use yourself, or you could sell your creation and make millions of dollars. Who knows?

Imagine having somewhere you could throw all your ideas and be able to find them straight away. Evernote is the ultimate extension of your memory because it lets you save every idea you ever think of. You can even copy stuff from websites and save it inside, record notes on your microphone, or just write something down. Anything is possible and great ideas become reality.
