HTC have always produced handsets that are user friendly and suitable for a particular consumer group. The HTC Wildfire S is a new addition to the original Wildfire series but with fresh looks and some improved features. At first, it was quite tough for HTC to grab a share of the market but the launch of handsets like HD7, Wildfire and Desire has swiftly helped them acquire the confidence of the general public. The handset was launched in 2011 and this year HTC introduced an OS upgrade to it.

The HTC Wildfire S Now Gives More For The Same Money

The HTC Wildfire S is now Android 2.3.3 enabled and the manufacturers have done a great job with the external appearance. With new exciting features introduced the handset looks quite impressive, while best thing is that there is no additional bump in the price. The HTC Wildfire S showcases a new capacitive touch screen with four buttons for search, menu, back and home.

There is an improvement in the color resolution and prominent features like optical track pad, accelerometer and proximity sensors add value to the handset. HTC provides you dedicated support for third party applications and this definitely is one its excellent features. With the updated OS to include Froyo, users can now access Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube with ease. Picasa and Google Talk are also now integrated in the Wildfire S, making this a feature packed handset.

Wi-Fi Capability Is A Definite Plus For The HTC Wildfire S

The HTC Wildfire S is solid, compact and reasonably priced to meet the customer’s need. It comes with all the essential features like a USB charger, 2GB micro SD card, quick guide and sync cable, though headphones are not included. The handset is powered by a 600MHZ processor which may not be the quickest, but it is fast enough to carry out all major functions. RAM is just 512 MB with 418MB free for the user, while both 2G and 3G are pre-installed in the handset and work as expected. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 and the performance is definitely above expectations.

Most importantly W-Fi use doesn’t overtax the system as it does in some other handsets and as a consequence it runs all the major applications effectively. The Wildfire S also comes with a Wi-Fi calling feature so when you are out of coverage area this becomes an extremely useful facility.
The HTC Wildfire S comes with a 3.5 mm jack, 5 megapixel camera and Bluetooth and the handset is very well constructed, though this also means it can be difficult to remove the back cover. It runs 2.3.3 Android with 2.1 HTC Sense which is not quite so up to date, but it synchronizes well with the 600MHZ processor.

The HTC Wildfire S is definitely a very good option in the entry-level smartphone sector of the market, fulfills all the basic needs of the consumer and looks great!.
