Getting more into the fitness wearable’s and wireless earbuds market Samsung on Thursday announced its two new gadgets the Samsung Gear Fit2 and the Gear IconX a set of new wireless earbuds.

According to Samsung, both new products have been designed with taking fitness need of consumers including the new tracking technology and features like a standalone music player to provide users the best of fitness experience on the go.

The Gear Fit2 and Gear IconX are specialized to easily address these needs, ultimately allowing users to get more out of their fitness experiences and everyday activities,” said Younghee Lee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics.

Samsung Gear Fit2 Fitness Tracker
Talking about the Gear Fit2 first, this piece of tech features an embedded GPS and a heart rate monitor (HRM) that helps users to get an accurate and robust fitness tracking and measurement while providing instant feedback on the user’s workout.  The Gear Fit2 automatically detects the type fitness activities you do every day like walking, running and cycling.

The Gear Fit2 comes with a 1.5”, Curved Super AMOLED 216 x 432 resolution touchscreen display. The device packs a Dual Core (1 GHz) with 512 MB of (RAM) and it comes with 4 GB of internal Storage to save your all fitness tracking details.

With Bluetooth v 4.2 the Gear Fit2 also adds Sensors like Accelerometer, Gyro, HRM, Built-in GPS, Barometer and packs a 200mAh battery to provide power backup to the device. The Gear Fit2 runs on Android 4.4 or above and also supports all major audio formats including MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, M4A, AMR, AWB, OGG, OGA, 3GA.

The Gear IconX is a true wireless earbud’s that works for both for your fitness need and listing to your favorite music while on your workout.

The Gear IconX tracks your fitness information and provides you with feedback on your daily running and workout performance. Just like the Gear Fit2 the Gear IconX also detects your daily activities like walking, running and cycling automatically and accurately.

With both of these devices, you can track up to 15 different activities including Exercise bike, Step machine, Treadmill, Pilates, Yoga, Lunges, Crunches, and Squats, among others and all that along with animations which illustrate proper exercise techniques so you can track your fitness activities more accurately.

The Gear IconX comes with 4 GB of memory which can store up to 1,000 songs. The earbuds come with a Bluetooth v 4.1 and it runs on Android 4.4 with 1.5 GB of RAM.

The Gear IconX includes Accelerometer, HR, and Capacitive Touch sensors. The earbuds pack a 47mAh battery along with a Charging Case with a 315mAh power backup.

The Gear IconX comes with three different color options including Black, blue and white options. The Gear IconX features a Standalone music player and a Voice guide which with the support for up to 15 different languages.

Samsung said that the Gear Fit2 will be available early next month on June 10, 2016, and the Gear IconX will be available in early Q3 2016.
