1: Not Installing Antivirus Software The first thing people do when they buy a tablet or laptop is to install an antivirus program. As you are well aware, hackers won’t think twice about stealing credit card information over the Web.

However, you might not take the same course of action with a mobile phone. Sadly, this is a huge mistake as hackers can just as easily hack your phone as they can a computer. And, even though it’s easy to remove malware from your computer and phone, it’s better not to have it on their in the first place. Thankfully, a quality antivirus program will prevent any nasty attacks.

2: Not Using An App Even with a cell, people like to use a web browser to peruse websites. The reason it’s a bad idea is that it takes away from the experience. Usually, shoppers don’t have the time or patience to spend ages searching for items.

Instead, you need to optimize your time online to get the best results. Using an application does just that as it saves information such as searches. Then, you can research at the click of a button without wasting time. The same goes for your payment details if you are comfortable storing them on the app.

3: Not Haggling Shoppers think they cannot haggle because they are shopping online. Nonsense! Whether you are browsing the Web or in-store, it is easy to negotiate a better deal. The key is to use the chatbot system on the website to connect with a customer service advisor.

Once you strike up a conversation, drop in tired and tested lines like ‘I’ve found a better price elsewhere,’ or ‘I’m thinking of leaving.’ Before you know it, they will match the price or come up with a cheaper solution.

4: Not Shopping Around The internet is massive, and it is home to millions of websites. Not all of them are helpful, but lots of them are. Even if it is a tiny percentage, it could equate to thousands of sites which have lower prices and a higher quality of products.

As a result, you need to shop around to get a good deal. Using an application means lots of shoppers click on the app and make a purchase without thinking. Instead, you want to check a variety of apps to make sure you are paying the lowest price.

Do any of these sound familiar? If they do, you might want to consider changing your digital habits.
