VLC 3.0

With automatic hardware decoding for 4K and 8K playback, your VLC media player will now be able to play all of your 4K and 8K videos without any lag so you can enjoy the best of the 4K and 8K videos across all your devices.

VLC now works with Blu-Ray Java menus and features network browsing support for local network and NAS drives, including SMB, FTP, SFTP, NFS filesystems.

I tried playing a 4K video on my Windows 10 PC and it plays well. I noticed really fast seek in the video which was not there in its earlier version and I also noticed that it took less starting time.
