There is no doubt that one factor that weighs heavily when deciding which console to buy is its price. This is why many wonder how much they will have to save to buy an Xbox Series X or a PlayStation 5 console. If until now what interests you most is the Sony console, you will be happy to know that recent information indicates that it will be cheaper than usual.
We say this because according to information from Play N Trade, a Canadian retailer, the PlayStation 5 will cost $559.99 CAD, an amount that, in American dollars, translates to approximately $397.32 USD, so it can be assumed that its price would be $399 USD in the United States.
The interesting thing about this information is that it would indicate that Sony would sell the PlayStation 5 at the same price as the PlayStation 4 offered at its premiere. In addition, it would be the same price at which the PlayStation 4 Pro, the most powerful version of the current generation console of Sony, is currently offered.
If you’ve been following the PlayStation 5 news you know that Sony has kept several of its details secret. In fact, in addition to having seen its logo and knowing its technical specifications, the reality is that we know very little about the console.
Till now, Sony Interactive Entertainment has not revealed what the price of the PlayStation 5 will be. So, although it was clear a few weeks ago that its intention is to deliver an economic console, the reality is that the information presented in the store could be a simple assumption by trade managers.
With the above in mind, we invite you to take this information with caution. Especially since reports had suggested that Sony was having trouble pricing its next-gen console. We will be pending details and we will inform you when we know more about it.
The PlayStation 5 will be released sometime in 2020.
