Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Spider-Man: Miles Morales was a pleasant surprise for gamers everywhere when it was announced at the PlayStation 5 event. The game quickly became a notable and highly anticipated release worldwide. The main character Miles will have some new powers that Peter Parker’s Spider-Man doesn’t, such as bioelectricity and invisibility. Insomniac Games mentioned that they will be taking full advantage of the PS5’s upcoming hardware to deliver features such as near-instant loading, real-time reflection ray tracing, haptic feedback, and 3D audio.

One thing that we can be sure of, is that the graphics and design of this game will be more realistic and satisfying as ever.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

The latest installment of the Assassin’s Creed series – Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be taking place in the world of Viking and Norse mythology. Players will be in control of Eivor, a customizable Viking raider and clan leader in his fight to establish a new home in a conflicted era of England.

Note that Eivor can also be played as either a woman or a man. Eivor will have the ability to dual wield weapons, including simply wielding two shields to fend off enemies.

There will be Viking raids, battles, flyting challenges, and a whole lot of chaos. The main thing to remember about this game is that it is centered around protecting and building a settlement for your clan.

It will be the center of your quests, decisions, and everything you do. If you’re looking for an adventurous game with historical accuracy and exhilarating battles this is the game for you.

Deathloop

This new IP game from Arkane Studios was first announced in 2019. It is a first-person game following two assassins stuck in a time loop on an island, hunting each other down.

In the main campaign, Colt has 8 targets set for him to kill in the span of one day and if he doesn’t manage to finish his killing spree, the day will simply restart again and the loop continues.

Deathloop

You can either play as Colt in the main campaign with its various side quests or infiltrate another player’s game as Julianna. There will be a two-player multiplayer system where one character hunts another if you choose to play with a friend.

The two characters have their own unique abilities and an arsenal of weapons which are customizable to your gameplay. Colt is able to use hacking devices whereas Julianna is able to disguise herself by taking on the appearance of any NPCs.

Whoever or however you choose to play the game, it clearly sounds like an amazing gameplay experience so make sure you top up on your PSN cards to ensure a smooth and satisfying playthrough.

Outriders

Another exciting IP coming to the PlayStation console is Outriders, a third-person looter shooter game developed by People Can Fly. Players can decide to play the game solo or co-op with up to three players.

The story is of a band of survivors awake after a deadly infection on an abandoned planet and has a fixed beginning and end. Players will have to fight against beasts and infected humans to survive.

The game also features a difficulty mechanic known as the world tier system. New, difficult world tiers will be unlocked as you level up but they also offer better loot drops and tougher foes. If you find it difficult as you continue on your journey, you could always scale down the difficulty whenever you like.

The game caters to all playstyles, whether you are the type to enjoy a cinematic story with little challenges or you’re the type that loves a challenge and is willing to go the extra mile for exotic weapons.

Godfall

Godfall is a looter slasher game by Counterplay Games that offers a fantasy setting and a combat system that could be experienced in both single-player or co-op. There will be an option to choose from five weapon classes and twelve Vaporplates. These Vaporplates are armor sets that are scattered throughout the world that could be equipped by players which will grant them certain abilities.

Godfall

The game takes place in a seemingly apocalyptic world known as Aperion, a world that is split up into five realms: Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Spirit. Players will play as one of the remaining Knight’s Order with a mission to stop the apocalypse and save their world.

There will be third-person melee battles, which means you can play with up to three other heroes in co-op. In fact, the more the merrier to defeat the large animals and beasts you are set to face in the game.

Cyberpunk 2077

Everyone has probably heard of Cyberpunk 2077 by now, and the fact that it was delayed from September to November 2020. This highly anticipated game is an open-world sci-fi RPG with a main character named V.

Cyberpunk 2077

In terms of combat style, V is said to be an agile cyber-ninja that could run and slide to cover while triggering a slow-motion bullet time mode as well as a quick dash-burst mode. When combined in combat, this enables her to deliver fatal kill shots more effectively.

Aside from that, there are cyberwar upgrades and tools which could be used to enhance her abilities such as a kiroshi optical implant, subdermal grip, mantis-like sword arms, remote control robots, and an implant that allows bullets to ricochet around corners to effectively kill enemies undercover.

It is also said that players can do a nonlethal run of the game if they choose to. Aside from that, V is a fully customizable character, from her physical appearance to her stats and backstory known as Lifepath. There are three Lifepaths to choose from with different origin stories and starting locations.

There are a whole lot more games set for release this holiday season that gets us excited but these are the ones we cannot wait to get our hands-on. What about you? Which game are you most excited to play? Comment down below!
