Darren Bridges, senior game designer at Sucker Punch Productions earlier today announced Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, a new online cooperative multiplayer mode for PS4. The new mode will be available as free to download for Ghost of Tsushima owners on PS4 this fall later this year. The dev has also relaesed Ghost of Tsushima: Legends official announcement trailer which you can watch below.
According to the official announcement post, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is a separate mode where you won’t find Jin or the companions from his journey. Instead, Legends include four warriors who have been built up as legends in stories told by the people of Tsushima.

The new mode is said to feature an exclusively cooperative gameplay experience where you will be able to partner up with friends or via online matchmaking and play Legends in groups of 2-4 players.
Also, each player will be able to choose from one of four different character classes: the Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin all with their own set of unique advantages and abilities. You will also be able to play wave-based Survival missions with up to four players. More details on the new Ghost of Tsushima: Legends can be found here.
