It seems that the PS5 will support the so-called quick resume feature just like the Xbox Series X. At least that is what the video published this week about the user interface of the PS5 suggests.

On Thursday yesterday, Sony Interactive Entertainment published a video in which the user interface of the PlayStation 5 was discussed in detail. You can check the video at the bottom of this news.

Even if an official announcement of the corresponding function is still pending, the PS5 seems to support the so-called quick resume feature just like the Xbox Series X. Users discovered the supposedly decisive clue in the video published yesterday on the PS5 user interface.

It was very quick to switch back and forth between the two games of Destruction AllStars and Sackboy: A Big Adventure, with the message “suspend your games” being shown in a dialogue box.

In addition, when switching between games it was not pointed out, as on the PS4, that starting a second game would close the current application. With the quick resume feature, it is possible to pause several games at the same time and to continue the game at the push of a button at the last position without having to restart or load the game from scratch.

Since the official announcement of the quick resume feature is still pending, it is currently unclear how many games can be paused on the PlayStation 5 at the same time. The new generation PlayStation will be released in Europe on November 19, 2020. It will release in North America on November 12, 2020.
