Xiaomi alongside the new Mi 11 smartphone on Tuesday released the next version of its custom ROM the MIUI 12.5. The new version comes with several improvements and new features over the MIUI 12 version that was released earlier in May this year. The new features of the MIUI 12.5 include enhanced privacy with transparency and controls. There is not much to talk about the new features as the MIUI 12.5 doesn’t see any major changes in terms of new features. However, there is a couple of new addition which we can talk about below.

The new version of the MIUI brings includes MIUI+ that works similar to the Windows companion app that integrates with the PC and allows you to see mobile notifications, apps, or even clipboard data directly on their computer screen. The new MIUI 12.5 is also said to consume up to 32 percent less memory in system operations and provide a 17 percent decrease in power consumption.

You can also expect better-optimized system apps and better graphics rendering over the MIUI 12. The new version also includes two new Super Wallpapers including Snow Mountain and Geometry. According to Xiaomi Super Wallpapers with MIUI 12.5 update consumes 40 percent less power.

MIUI 12.5 also comes with new floating windows that lets you quickly respond to a message or look at maps without leaving your active screen. In terms of new privacy enhancements, MIUI 12.5 brings the ability to prompt you with a pop-up when an app attempts to access your clipboard data, and totally up to you whether you grant access or decline. You can now also see what apps access your clipboard and control access.
