The dark action role-playing game Mortal Shell was recently released for the new generation of consoles. A current performance analysis from VG Tech reveals what is technically offered on the PS5.

After various improvements were promised as part of the announcement for the new-gen consoles, the editors of VGTech took on the next-gen version of Mortal Shell and got to the bottom of the technical implementation. As reported, the dark fantasy adventure on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will run at 60FPS.

However, there are differences in the resolutions. Unsurprisingly, the last place is the Xbox Series S, on which Mortal Shell flickers across the screen in the dynamic 1296p resolution and 30FPS. While PlayStation 5 gamers can look forward to a 1440p resolution, the Xbox Series X has the lead in terms of resolution and delivers a dynamic 1800p.

Further details on the technical implementation of Mortal Shell can be found in the video below. As recently confirmed, the action RPG has sold 500,000 copies on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 so far.

We look to the future of the game with great confidence, which begins today with the release of Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition.
