Sony has recently confirmed the first three series for its PlayStation game franchises – God of War, Gran Turismo, and Horizon. All these three projects will include full-fledged game shows. These shows will be distributed by Netflix and Amazon Prime. The third is still in negotiations, but the company is assisting with the production of all three. However, this is a very exciting announcement for fans of all three franchises.
The first of these projects is an adaptation of the video game God of War. The new series has a unique ability to become compelling television, and the game’s mythology lends itself to emotional storytelling.
While the saga has not yet been decided, it is likely to be a Norse story. Norse mythology lends itself well to emotional storytelling, while Greek mythology lends itself to violent rampage.
