However, another important factor is by telling the audience everything about your product or service; they can then make a purchase decision without any more contact with you. This clearly is not the ideal outcome.

Technology Overkill
In any good presentation there will be an element of technology. This can be a powerful way of reinforcing facts and figures, sometimes with a diagram or by the use of PowerPoint or similar. Unfortunately many presenters will use these slides to feature all of the words that they want to actually say, which begs the question, why do they need the presenter?
To get the best out of this type of material, the presenter should use bullet points which can then be expanded on in further detail. This will demonstrate further that the presenter really is the authority on the subject.
