I Am Fish is a cool new game that launched on all platforms including PC, console, and cloud on September 16. However, there appear to be some early issues coming to players when playing the game on Consoles. A lot of players have already reported that they are experiencing the controller unresponsive issue on the title screen of the I Am Fish after they lunch the game on their Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S consoles.
So, if you are also facing the I Am Fish controller unresponsive issue on your console then here I have got you a few solutions to fix this issue. Before we head over to the early solution to the issue. I would like to tell you that Curve Digital and Xbox are aware of the issue, and are working on a fix to be published ASAP.
How to Fix I Am Fish Controller Unresponsive Issue on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S?
Meanwhile, here is a simple solution that can possibly fix the I Am Fish controller unresponsive issue. Simply follow the steps below.
- Power off your console by pressing and holding the power button on your console for 10 seconds,
- Wait a few seconds, then press the power button again to restart.
- Once it restarts you should be able to play the game.
Update Controller Firmware
If simply restarting your console doesn’t fix the issue, then you can also try to update your controller firmware using the Xbox Accessories app to the latest version. Doing this might also fix the I Am Fish controller unresponsive issue. To update your controller follow the steps below.
How to update your controller using the Xbox Accessories app:
- Download the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft Store.
- Connect your new Xbox Wireless Controller to your PC with the steps found here.
- Update the firmware on your controller with the steps listed here:
- Make sure to look for the section labeled “Update on PC.”
If you are using an Xbox controller purchased in or after June 2015, it can take updates wirelessly without connecting with a USB cable.
