It’s larger, measuring in at a huge five inches as compared to the 4.7 inch display on the LG. Plus, the screen has double the resolution of the Nexus and has forty per cent more PPI (pixels per inch), meaning that it’s brighter, crisper and more vivid than the Nexus. The camera is also higher resolution, being a massive 13 MP in built device, rather than the regular 8 MP cam on the Nexus.

That means that pictures taken with the Xperia are simply higher quality and have more fine detail than those taken on the LG. Finally, you get more internal storage on the Sony, which comes with 16 GB of internal memory as opposed to just 8 GB on the Nexus. So you can store double the amount of music, photos, games and videos on the Xperia.

What the LG Nexus 4 Does Well…
The Nexus does have a couple of advantages itself. Firstly, you get faster maximum data speeds on the Nexus, which means quicker downloading and faster opening of web pages. Secondly, you get a little more talk time on the LG. The Nexus averages around twelve hours of talk time per battery charge cycle over the Xperia’s eleven hours, which leads to charging your battery slightly less often.

Which One Should I Buy?
The Sony Xperia Z is just a better phone for your money. You get a better display, a better camera and more internal storage space, all of which are important in a top of the line phone. The memory in particular is a good feature. You really shouldn’t consider a top of the line phone that has less than 16 GB of internal memory, since it will limit the amount of data you can store and applications that you can run.
