Amongst the cost effective smart phones that are produced time and again, the ZTE Warp Sequent and the LG Venice manage to perform adequately. While they may not compare with the giants in the business, they are certainly worth buying because of their fair prices and the apps they have. After all, not everyone needs a couple of hundred icons on their screen and a Quadra-core processor for unbelievable speeds at all times, do they?ZTE Warp Sequent
The China-based ZTE Company has been producing a couple of mediocre smart phones for quite some time now. With the ZTE Warp Sequent, however, it has finally managed to produce a handset with ample focus on quality and performance.

The design of the Warp Sequent is great and stylish. It has a 5 inch length that is slightly rounded at the corners and weighs just around 4 ounces. With a super slim body, black metallic surface, and a good 4.3 inches touch screen with average resolution effects, the Warp Sequent manages to look decent and elegant.

The Warp Sequent comes loaded with an Android 4.0 OS that still has a lot of bloat-ware compared to the Nexus, but manages to run effectively. There are a number of networking, gaming and chat interface apps that are pre-installed into the smart phone. The image quality that the 5 MP camera manages to produce is also quite good though photograph aficionados might crib about the lack of image finesse.

The 3G speed Internet provided average browsing speeds but coupled with the low storage space, there is little that you can use the Internet for. Decently designed, containing a water resistant cap, and loaded with utilities that make your life smart, the ZTE Warp Sequent is actually a smart phone you should look to buy for the cost.

LG Venice
The Venice has a simple Quadra design featuring a 5 MP camera at the rear and a screen measuring a little less than 4.7 inches with noteworthy resolution effects. The LG Venice does not reek of the opulence typical of the other phones that LG produces, however, considering its low costs the device looks very attractive.

Run on the Android 4.0 Ice cream Sandwich version OS, the Venice model surprisingly, has miniscule bloat-ware and software lags. Perhaps, you could put the performance down to the 1 GHz processor and the 16 GB expandable storage space that the phone comes with.

The 3G network of the Venice model is a tad too slow and apps take a long while to load. The battery is average and the call quality is good for the cost. The device has nothing spectacular about the apps and interface either, but can be considered a good corporate phone if you sync it to your tablet or notebook and multitask using the facilities in the smart phone.

Choice Time
If you’re bent on having a faster Internet connection, you could check the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G or the HTC One X. Otherwise, the LG Venice is a superb phone for the price you pay.
