How VoIP Mobile Apps Are Saving Mobile Businesses Thousands

Mobile VoIP, also known as mVoIP, has become more prevalent than ever particularly now that this can be installed on any smartphone. Combined with these devices’ capabilities and the reliance of people on them, it is easy to see that the support for mVoIP will continue to escalate in the next few years. Many businesspeople are starting to realize that they can save tons of money with these mobile apps for VoIP.

Perhaps the main reason why businesses turn to VoIP mobile applications is that of their cost-saving potential. Instead of using public switched phone networks, mVoIP takes their spot. This is where pricey telephone calls are avoided especially when it comes to long distance calls. With VoIP apps for smartphones, voice traffic moves through the Internet or in other cases, a private data network communication line. This is much more cost-effective than other line configurations used by commercial properties.

VoIP apps can also reduce the cost of lines, maintenance, manpower, and equipment. In fact, there are no other pieces of equipment required, just the individual’s smartphone. Simply download the phone app and follow the installation procedures. Both the voice and data traffic will be unified into a singular physical network. There is no need for different PBX (Private Branch Exchange) tie lines. Of course, there will be an initial setup cost, but compared to the traditional telephone line setup, the price is insignificant and major net savings will be experienced. Add the fact that there is only one network to manage and there is no need to sustain a telephony system, VoIP mobile apps can definitely help save thousands of cash while promoting a digital and data-centric business.

Another way that these apps support companies in saving money is when employees or the employers themselves need to travel to another country. With these applications, they can call their office or their workforce even as they are on roaming. There is no question that traditional phone calls impose hefty charges for calls made while on a roaming service. This is not a concern when a company is connected through VoIP.

Most employees today carry a smartphone. In other instances, organizations provide the phones to their employees to sustain effective communication. This can be costly, with call costs for the employee contacting their office and other colleagues mobile phones often making up over fifty percent of the annual call charges. These issues with internal mobile calling expenses can be easily and effectively solved with VoIP mobile apps. Workers can contact another co-worker or the office for free. Additional features include the ability to automatically route calls to a group of mobile phones, ideal if you have workers who often work in noisy environments since the chances of the caller being answered are greatly increased.

Features such as teleconferencing, call transfer and call switching make these apps invaluable to business aiming for an inexpensive method of communication. Since voice over IP telecoms utilize the mobile phones internet connection, it is, however, imperative to ensure that you have a reasonable monthly data allowance on the mobile phones otherwise you could incur additional costs. VoIP apps can be installed on any smartphone and they require no agreement between the mobile operator and the VoIP provider in order to function.
