Quake II RTX, the remastered version of the original 1997 classic Quake II game will be released on June 6, 2019. Nvidia via its official blog post announced that Quake II RTX will be released on June 6 and it will come with enhanced graphics with Nvidia Ray-Tracing support. It will also come with improved Global Illumination rendering, with three selectable quality, presets. The game will also include two-bounce GI, multiplayer support, time of day options as well as new weapon models & textures and new dynamic environments (Stroggos surface, and space).

As part of this, Nvidia has also released a brand new trailer for the new Quake II RTX remaster version that you can view below. Nvidia also said that anyone who has the GeForce RTX graphics card, or other capable hardware will be able to experience the first 3 levels of the game for free.
Quake II RTX will be available to download from Nvidia’s website on June 6th, at 6 am PT. Buyers will get the first 3 levels of the game, released freely in 1997.
