Realme X2 Launch Date Set for December 17, Will Feature 64MP Quad Rear Camera

Last month popular budget smartphone maker Realme launched the pro version of its Realme X2 smartphone in India. However, Realme X2, the slightly toned-down version of the Realme X2 Pro was yet to be launch in the country. Now, today Realme CEO Madhav Sheth official announced that the will be launch in India on December 17.

As its biggest highlight, the Realme X2 will sport a 64MP quad rear camera setup and a 32MP selfie at the front. Realme is calling the Realme X2 a mid-premium flagship because the device brings the flagship level 64MP quad rear camera to the mid-range segment.

Availability

Realme X2 will be available in India especially via Flipkart. The official teaser page is also live now on the Flipkart. The teaser page confirms some of the key details about the phone.

Realme X2 Specifications

The Realme X2 Flipkart teaser page reveals that the device will come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC, instead of a Snapdragon 855 Plus like the Pro version. Realme says that the new Snapdragon 730G SoC is 15 per cent more power-efficient and can better handle games.

Realme X2 will feature a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display which also has a notch. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor on the display. The phone will pack a 4000mAh battery with support for 30W VOOC flash charge 4.0.

Realme claims that the 30W fast charger can charge the phone’s battery up to 67 per cent in 30 minutes, which Realme says is 42 per cent faster compared to the 18W fast charging tech.

On the camera side, the phone will sport a quad rear camera including a main 64MP main sensor, an ultra-wide lens, a macro lens and a depth sensor. Upfront, Realme X2 features a 32MP selfie camera.

There are now words on the pricing and the sale start date yet.
