Tomb Raider I-III Remastered PS4 & PS5 Features Detailed, New Key Art Revealed

The Tomb Raider I-III Remastered collection for PS4 and PS5 has been detailed with several new and enhanced features and key art. This remastered collection, developed by Aspyr, aims to honor the original vision of the Crystal Dynamics team while making the games more accessible to modern audiences.

Key features of the Tomb Raider I-III Remastered collection include:

  1. Control Options: Players can choose between the original tank-style controls and modernized controls inspired by the Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld era of Tomb Raider. The modern controls offer full camera control with the right stick and directional movement of Lara based on camera position.
  2. Boss Health Bars: To address the minimal UI in the original games, health bars have been added for bosses. This feature is intended to help players gauge whether they should switch weapons or continue with their current strategy.
  3. 3D Item Sprites: The in-game assets for items like health kits and ammo, previously 2D, are now rendered in 3D to enhance the visual experience.
  4. Over 200 Trophies: PlayStation users will have the opportunity to earn over 200 trophies, adding an extra layer of challenge and replayability to the games.
  5. Photo Mode: A robust photo mode has been introduced, allowing players to capture and share moments from the game. This mode includes the ability to toggle between classic and modern graphics.
  6. Art and Visual Upgrades: The remastered collection features baked and real-time lighting effects, new models, environments, and enemies, and an updated model for Lara Croft. Players can toggle between the original and modern graphics during gameplay.
  7. Preservation and Modernization: A key aspect of the remaster is the balance between preserving the original experience and modernizing it for new audiences. The games can be played with their original look and feel or with the updated visuals and controls.

The Tomb Raider I-III Remastered collection is set to be released on February 14th for PS4, PS5, as well as other platforms like Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
