A fresh leak from @Olrak29_ has reignited talk about Nvidia’s long-rumoured N1X ARM-based processor for laptops. A shipping manifest entry shows a Dell 16-inch “Premium” OLED laptop fitted with an “N1X ES2” engineering sample, dated November 20, 2025. This suggests Dell was actively testing the chip since late last year, and it could mean the company has several Nvidia ARM laptops in the pipeline.
The “Dell 16 Premium” branding is key. Dell used “Premium” for its high-end multimedia laptops in 2025 before dropping it due to criticism and returning to the classic XPS name at CES 2026. The leak’s November date and old branding imply this machine was developed for a possible 2025 or early 2026 launch, but got delayed or shelved.
The “ES2” tag points to second-generation engineering silicon, and “DVT” (Design Validation Test) means the design was near-final and feature-complete.
NVIDIA’s N1X is an ARM SoC pairing CPU cores with integrated GeForce-class graphics (rumoured to match RTX 5070-level CUDA cores). It was expected to challenge Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X series in Windows on Arm laptops.

Jensen Huang confirmed the related GB10 superchip exists in the DGX Spark AI mini-PC, but consumer versions remain elusive. No N1X laptop appeared at CES 2026, fueling speculation of delays due to software readiness, OS support, or strategic shifts.
The leak strongly hints that Dell explored N1X for premium multimedia or even Alienware gaming laptops. While Dell’s CES 2026 XPS lineup stuck to Intel Panther Lake, the manifest shows serious internal validation work. If N1X moves forward, Dell could be among the first with retail models.
For now, it’s engineering hardware without a public launch. Windows on ARM needs strong drivers, app compatibility, and ecosystem support to succeed. The N1X’s fate remains unclear, exciting potential, but no guarantee of consumer release.
Watch for more leaks or official word. If Dell brings an N1X laptop, it could shake up the premium and gaming segments. Stay tuned.
