Xiaomi POCO M8 Series Brings AMOLED Screens and Faster Chips to Budget 5G Segment

Xiaomi’s POCO brand has launched the new M8 series, including the POCO M8 5G and POCO M8 Pro 5G. These phones bring brighter AMOLED displays, stronger processors, and better batteries to the budget 5G market. The move helps POCO stay strong against rivals in a tough price segment.

Specs and Features

The POCO M8 5G is the main model for everyday use. It has a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness up to 3,200 nits. This makes it sharp and easy to see outdoors. The phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset for smooth apps and light gaming. It comes with up to 8GB RAM and 512GB storage.

The battery is 5,520mAh with 45W fast charging and 18W reverse charging. It runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2 and gets four years of OS updates plus six years of security patches – a long promise for this price range.

It has a huge 6,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging. Cameras feature a 50MP main with OIS, 8MP ultra-wide, and 32MP selfie. It also has better cooling and Dolby Atmos sound.

Price and Availability

Xiaomi POCO M8 Series price starts at around Rs. 15,999 (M8 5G) and Rs. 26000 for the (M8 Pro 5G). Sales will start soon in India and in the global market. Early buyers get discounts.
