Sony has announced a limited restock of its PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection, featuring the retro-inspired DualSense controller, PS5 Digital Edition Console Bundle, and PlayStation Portal. The restock is set to launch on September 9, 2025, with pre-orders opening exclusively on PlayStation Direct.

PlayStation Plus members get early access starting July 21, 2025, at 7:00 AM PT (10:00 AM ET) in the US and 10:00 AM BST in the UK. General pre-orders for all customers begin on July 23, 2025, at the same times.

What’s Included in the Restock

  • 30th Anniversary DualSense Controller ($79.99 / £69.99): This fan-favorite controller sports a grey PS1-style design with colorful face buttons and the original PlayStation logo on the PS button. It’s the most restocked item due to its popularity and affordability. Available in the US, UK, Canada, and other select regions.
  • PS5 Digital Edition Console Bundle ($499.99 / £449.99): Features a grey PS5 Slim Digital Edition with 1TB storage, a matching DualSense controller, a vertical stand, a disc drive cover (disc drive sold separately), and extras like a PS1-style USB-C cable housing, four PlayStation cable ties, a sticker, and a poster with one of 30 designs. Available in the UK and Canada, but not confirmed for the US.
  • 30th Anniversary PlayStation Portal ($219.99 / £209.99): A grey PS1-themed remote player for streaming PS5 games, requiring a PS5 console and strong Wi-Fi (at least 5Mbps, 15Mbps recommended). Available in the UK and Canada.

Key Details

The restock does not include the ultra-rare PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Bundle or the DualSense Edge controller, which remain sold out due to their limited production. Supplies are described as “highly limited,” so items are expected to sell out quickly, as seen with previous restocks in October and November 2024.

To secure a pre-order, you’ll need a PlayStation Network account, and PS Plus members get a two-day head start. In the UK, pre-orders are exclusive to PlayStation Direct, while Canada’s restock will also be available at select retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart starting July 23.

Launched in September 2024 to celebrate PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, these items sold out rapidly due to their nostalgic grey design mimicking the 1994 PlayStation console. Fans on X are excited for another chance to grab these collectibles, though some express frustration over the limited quantities and lack of PS5 Pro restocks.

The DualSense controller, in particular, has been a hit for its retro look and affordable price, while the Portal and PS5 bundle appeal to collectors. Be ready to act fast, as these items may not be restocked again.

You can check PlayStation Direct and participating retailers on the pre-order dates to secure your piece of PlayStation history.
