Install MIUI 10 Based on Android Pie Beta on Xiaomi Mi8

MIUI 10 is the latest firmware which was first released in China back in May and later the update rolled out globally. MIUI 10 brings several new improvements including system optimizations and performance. It also includes lots of new features such as full screen gestures, swipe to delete task, AI Portrait and AI Preload and more. Now Xiaomi is bringing even more improvements and have announced the MIUI 10 Based on Android Pie Insider Beta for the Xiaomi Mi8 in China.

Installing Android Pie Beta based on MIUI 10 on Xiaomi Mi8

First you should know that MIUI comes in two forms, MIUI China Stable and MIUI Global Stable. The China Stable ROM do not come with Google Play services integration while the Global Stable ROM does and the supported languages are only English and Mandarin.

You may also find few more differences in both ROM. However, to be able to download and install the MIUI China Stable ROM on your Mi8 device you will first need to make sure that your device is already part of the insider beta program and running the beta ROM. Now check for the update on your device by going to your Settings Tab > System Tab > press the check for updates button.

However, if your don’t receive the update then you can download the ROM manually on your device by using your computer and flashing it onto your smartphones.

This can be done either with the help of the Xiaomi updater tool, or by putting the ROM files into the root directory with the help of right TWRP recovery image for your phone and then manually installing them from the devices fast boot mode.
