OnePlus 6T Launched in India With In-Screen Fingerprint Sensor, Water Drop Notch and More

OnePlus on Tuesday finally launched its latest flagship OnePlus 6T smartphone in India at an event held in New Delhi. The India launch event was scheduled a day after its launch in New York in the US. As we had already reported, the OnePlus 6T key highlights include a waterdrop Notch and In-Screen fingerprint sensor. The device also comes with an enhanced camera which includes a dual 16MP+ 20MP rear camera setup, and a single 16MP front-facing camera.

The OnePlus 6T has been priced in India at Rs. 37,999 for the 6GB RAM+128GB storage model, the 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 41,999 and the 8GB RAM+256GB storage variant is priced at 45,999.

Availability

All three variants of the OnePlus 6T will be available starting November 1st at 00:00 on Amazon India & OnePlus Website only in a Midnight Black color option. It will also be available across OnePlus stores, Reliance Digital and Croma stores starting 3rd November.

OnePlus 6T Specifications, Features

The OnePlus 6T comes with the dual SIM support and features a 6.41-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 1080×2340 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage.

The device features clean design with a smaller Notch as compared to the notch on OnePlus 6. The OnePlus 6T features a waterdrop notch this time as we’ve seen in other smartphones like the Oppo F9 Pro, Vivo V11 Pro, etc.

It runs OxygenOS based on Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. The device packs a 3700mAh battery with fast charging support which is said to deliver a full day of power in 30 minutes of charge.

In the camera department, the OnePlus 6T sports enhanced dual 16MP+ 20MP rear camera setup with several new features such as Google Lens integration into the camera app which you can use to scan certain types of products, monuments and logos, etc and Google Lens will let you know about those things.

The camera also includes features like Studio Lighting feature, Nightscape or Night Photography feature, etc. At the front, there is a single 16MP front-facing camera.
