Razer had introduced its first gaming smartphone last year now the company better known for its gaming peripherals has launched its latest Razer Phone 2. The new smartphone is successor to the last year launched Razer Phone and comes with improved features and hardware upgrades. The main key highlights of the Razer Phone 2 includes Snapdragon 845 SoC, world’s first smartphone to come with a 5.7-inch IGZO Quad HD screen with refresh rate at 120Hz highest on any smartphone ever and 8GB RAM. Razer Phone 2 Features and Specifications
As I said earlier the Razer Phone 2 features and true 120Hz refresh rate screen with a 5.7-inch IGZO LCD display and Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The display also has the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Now let’s talk about the hardware, the Razer Phone 2 comes with Snapdragon 845 processor under the hood coupled with 8GB ARM and 64 GB of internal storage. On the software and other features, the phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and packs a 4,000mAh battery that also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge+ and wireless charging.
On the camera front, the Razer Phone 2 sports a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel sensors with one wide-angle camera and another telephoto camera capable of 2x optical zoom. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera which can record 1080p video at 30 frames per second.
Other features includes, an IP67 certificate which protects your device under water up to 1 meter. The phone features a side mounted fingerprint sensor and also comes with a dedicated Razer Cortex Mobile app that provides a list of popular mobile games and utilize the Game Booster software for launching games and optimization.
On the connectivity front, the Razer Phone 2 includes GSM, WCDMA, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wireless Standards: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual-band (MIMO) with 2×2 antennas and USB-C to USB-C Cable.
Razer Phone 2 Price and Availability
The Razer Phone 2 is priced at $799 (around INR 59,500) for the 64GB variant. It will be available in Classy Mirror back finish. The device will be available for pre-order in the US starting 12.01AM PST on October 11 the India launch is also expected soon.
There is also a 128GB variant which will be released at a later date in rugged satin finish.
