Another day another rumored leak, today we have come up with a new leak (Rumor) that provides some of the key specifications of Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi 9 smartphone along with its pricing and release date. According to the leaked specs details from a Chinese tipster, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9 on top of everything will be coming with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC, 32w Quick Charge 4.0 and more.
The shared details further reveal, that the Xiaomi Mi 9 will feature a design similar to the OnePlus 6T and will come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen. The phone will also feature a waterdrop Notch, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and full HD+ resolution. The Xiaomi Mi 9 also expected to come to an in-display fingerprint sensor and will measure 155 x 75 x 7.6mm.
As we mentioned above, the phone will house a Snapdragon 855 SoC under the hood. However, it won’t be coming with Qualcomm’s X50 LTE modem that enables 5G connectivity. Instead, it will use an X24 LTE modem so, users shouldn’t expect 5G compatibility on the upcoming Mi 9 sadly.
Additionally, the leak reveals that the handset will be fueled by a 3,500mAh battery, but it won’t support wireless charging. However, it will come with 32W fast charging support.
Now going by the previous reports, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9 is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup. However, the new leak reveals that the Mi 9 would come with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with a 3D ToF (Time of Flight) camera.
As per today’s leak, the Xiaomi Mi 9 is said to carry a price tag of 2,999 Yuan (around $436) for the 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of inbuilt storage. The leak claims that the phone will be releasing in March.
We also expect Xiaomi to announce the upcoming Mi 9 along with Mi MIX 3 5G handset at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 in February next month in Barcelona, Spain. However, we haven’t yet received any official details regarding the upcoming Mi 9 smartphone from Xiaomi.
