Xiaomi Mi AirDots Pro

Back in September 2016, Apple unveiled its first true wireless earbuds which Apple called as AirPods. Since then we didn’t see any other wireless earbuds like this. However, now Xiaomi has launched its first ever true wireless earbuds called the Mi AirDots Pro in China, which looks a lot like Apple’s AirPods.

Another great thing about the Mi AirDots Pro is the price. The Mi AirDots Pro has been priced quite cheap than Apple’s AirPods. The official product page lists the pricing of the Mi AirDots Pro for 199 Yuan which translates it to be around Rs. 2,000 Indian Rupee.

Price wise, the new Xiaomi Mi AirDots Pro might sound perfect alternatives to the Apple AirPods, but since we haven’t tested it, we can’t be sure that how good it sounds compared to the AirPods.

Xiaomi Mi AirDots Pro specifications

The Mi AirDots features a 7mm neodymium iron boron magnetic ring speaker unit. The Mi AirDots Pro earbuds also come with active noise cancellation as an added advantage. The active noise cancellation provides a better sound listing experience and also improves the sound quality while taking calls.

The Mi AirDots measures only 5.8 grams. There is also IPX4 water resistance given on the earbuds. For charging, the Mi AirDots Pro features a USB Type-C charging port for fast charge and also support AAC codec. Xiaomi claims that Mi AirDots can last up to 10 hours on a single charge and can be fully charged in just one hour.

It also features touch controls, which users can use to change songs, take calls, and also invoke the voice assistant.

The earphones come with Bluetooth v4.2 support. Another great feature of the Mi AirDots is that the earphones turn off as soon as they are taken off of the ear or kept on standby for about 30 min.

Price and Availability

The Mi AirDots Pro will be available for sale starting January 11, priced at 199 Yuan (roughly Rs. 2,000) and will be available in a White color option only.
