We have no doubt that this year in 2019 we will see various new technologies taking shape and running over the 5G network. Various smartphone manufacturers have already started preparing for a next-generation 5G network that will unleash new possibilities. This year we will also be seeing smartphones doing great things which aren’t yet possible.
In addition to this, Xiaomi’s Senior Vice President Wang Xiang has now shared a new video demonstrating the power of the 5G network.

The video shows Mi Robot Vacuum cleaning Xiaomi’s 5G lab over 5G network. A guy can be seen holding a smartphone which appears to be Xiaomi’s upcoming Mix Mix 3 5G variant, but we are not sure about that. The video shows that the Mi Robot Vacuum is controlled by the smartphone running over a 5G network.
Notably, Xiaomi recently teased its upcoming Mi Mix 3 5G variant to be coming soon with no exact release date. However, a various media report has suggested that the Xiaomi will launch the Mi Mix 3 5G variant at an event on February 24 in China.
The Mi Mix 3 5G variant is expected to comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with Qualcomm’s X50 5G modem. The device is expected to come with up to 10GB of RAM and will feature a slider back panel.
It’s worth mentioning here that, not every smartphone with Snapdragon 855 will support the 5G network. A smartphone will have to have that extra X50 5G modem to be able to support the 5G network.
Last month, Xiaomi showed off a 5G version of the Mi Mix 3 that comes with Snapdragon X50 modem at China Mobile’s Partner Conference in Beijing. The model is said to have download speeds of up to 2 Gbps.
