Nokia 6 smartphone, which was launched back in 2017 is now finally receiving the latest Android 9 Pie update. Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer, HMD Global via its official Twitter account today confirmed that Nokia 6 (2017) is now finally started receiving the latest Android 9 Pie update in India. Looks like the Nokia 8 users have started receiving the Android 9 pie update. Several Nokia 8 users on Sarvikas Twitter post have reported that they have also received the latest Android 9 Pie update on their Nokia 8 smartphone.

To recall, earlier last month Juho made a tweet announcing that the Nokia 8 Sirocco is now the latest member of the Android 9 Pie family. But since then, we didn’t hear anyone receiving the update in India.
Technology blog nokiamob reports, that the Android 9 Pie update for the Nokia 6 (2017) was only available in the in Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong until yesterday, but now it’s finally available in India too. As always, the update will be available via OTA so, you might be receiving the update notification any time soon on your Nokia 6 (2017).

The Android 9 Pie update users received on their Nokia 8 device also brings February security patch and other Android 9 Pie features.
Its worth mentioning here that, Nokia made its come back in the smartphone market by announcing the Nokia 6 two years back.
