Last week we reported about an alleged leaked image of the Mi 9 Explorer Edition. The image showed us a device with a quad camera set up at the back. However, that image now seems to be wrong. We now have got to see some new images and the video, which appears to be an official video promo Video of the upcoming Mi 9 Explorer Edition. The images and the video has been leaked on the Chinese Social media site Weibo. We have already expected that Xiaomi will indeed launch an Explorer Edition of its Mi 9, as it did with Mi 8 last year.
As we can see on the Video, the Mi 9 Explorer Edition appears to have a similarly designed transparent back panel like seen on the Mi 8 Explorer Edition. The images and the promo video shows a triple, not four, rear camera setup as it was shown in the previous leak.

We already know that the Mi 9 will feature a 48-megapixel main camera among others two and will be powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC. As this point, we don’t know much about the Mi 9 Explorer Edition, but it is said to be the most powerful smartphone from Xiaomi ever.
A new leaked Mi 9 and its retails box from SlashLeak now also confirms that the Mi 9 will feature a 6.39 AMOLED display, 20W fast charging, 48MP camera and SD855 SoC.
Xiaomi will launch the Mi 9 on February 20th in China following the global launch on February 24 at MWC in Barcelona Spain.
