A new device named Xiaomi Cepheus was spotted last month on Geekbench with 6GB RAM, SD855 running on Android 9 Pie. The device was said to be the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9. However, this was not the only leak that we have seen in the last couple of weeks. The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9 has been leaked various times revealing a lot of key details about the device. However, all the leaks and speculation have now come to its end as Xiaomi has now officially announced the launch date of the Xiaomi Mi 9.
Xiaomi made the announcement via its official Weibo account sharing the launch poster confirming the launch date. The Weibo post confirms that Xiaomi will hold an event in China on February 20 to launch its new flagship Mi 9 smartphone.
Xiaomi also claims that the upcoming Mi 9 smartphone will a power packed beautiful smartphone of the year. According to the leaked specs details from a Chinese tipster, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9 on top of everything will be coming with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC, 3,500mAh battery with 32w Quick Charge 4.0 and more.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 will include a triple rear camera setup, including a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with a 3D ToF (Time of Flight) camera.
