As OnePlus Founder & CEO Pete Lau via his official Twitter account recently confirmed. One Plus 7 launch date is set to be announced later today. OnePlus will officially announce the launch date of its upcoming flagship smartphone’s, which is expected to include the new OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro that will also support 5G. In an exclusive report with The Verge, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed the name of the company’s upcoming device. Later yesterday, Lau also tweeted his statement from The Verge report.

In his Tweet, Lau made the following statement confirming the most expensive and the best display in the world used on the OnePlus 7 device.

  • Indeed, our new product will utilize all-new display technology. We have invested significantly (technology is 3x cost of other flagship displays) in developing the technology just for OnePlus, a flagship screen experience that is truly best in the world.

Lau said that the company has invested 3x more cost than other flagship displays. OnePlus has also confirmed a very smooth experience on the new display used on the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro.

In the report, Lau also confirmed that the OnePlus 7 Pro will come with 5G support and it will use a display that will be “super-smooth and very crisp,”. The report suggests that the upcoming OnePlus 7 Pro will feature 90Hz display. Packing all new technologies which have been mentioned in the report will definitely increase the pricing of the OnePlus.

In the Report, Lau has confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will be expensive than the OnePlus 6T.

OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro Specifications

Reliable tipster Max J has tipped several features of upcoming the OnePlus 7 Pro. According to the leaked details, the OnePlus 7 Pro will come with a 6.7-inch display with a resolution of 3120×1440 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and the highly anticipated 90Hz refresh rate.

The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 and will come in three variants viz. 6GB/ 128GB, 8GB/ 256GB, and 12GB/ 256GB, with the onboard storage standard being UFS 3.0 for faster data transfer.

As already confirmed, the OnePlus 7 Pro will come with a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP main camera with F1.6 aperture and OIS+EIS, 8MP 3x Zoom F2.4 and a 16MP sensor with 117° F2.2. Up front, there will be a 16MP selfie camera with F2.0 aperture.

On the other hand, OnePlus 7 will come with the dual rear camera setup, however, its camera configuration isn’t yet known.

OnePlus 7 Pro also tipped to come with 4,000mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge support and will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. As per the Tweet from Max J, OnePlus 7 Pro will be available in Blue/Grey/Brown color options.
