Alongside the Redmi 7 launch today in India, Xiaomi also launched another smartphone called the Redmi Y3. The new Redmi Y3 is a phone for selfie lover and people who look for a powerful selfie camera phone. The new Redmi Y3 comes with a 32-megapixel selfie camera with EIS placed on the notch. Other highlights of the Redmi Y3 include Snapdragon 632 SoC, MIUI 10 based on Android Pie, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Design wise, the Redmi Y3 looks almost similar to the Redmi 7. Redmi Y3 comes with a 6.26-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, 2.5D glass, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone packs an octa-core Snapdragon 632 SoC coupled with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. It runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. Redmi Y3 comes with 32GB and 64GB of inbuilt storage options, with expandable support via microSD card (up to 512GB).
For cameras. the new Redmi Y3 features a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfie lovers, the Redmi Y3 sports a 32-megapixel selfie camera with EIS, auto HDR, and an AI portrait mode.
The phone also features a fingerprint sensor at its pack and packs a same 4,000mAh battery as the Redmi 7.
Redmi Y3 (3GB+32GB) variant has been priced at Rs. 9,999 and the (4GB+64GB) variant is at Rs. 11,999. The phone will go on its first sale starting at 12 noon on 30th April 2019, via Amazon India, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.
