HP has a new solution for laptop gamers who also multitask while gaming. For such gamers, HP debuts the new OMEN X 2S gaming laptop that also features a second screen right above the keyboard. HP says that it is an industry-first 6” 1080p touchscreen mounted just above the keyboard. Players can switch between the two display while gaming and can perform a different task or interact with other applications without interrupting their gameplay.
The main display features 1080p resolution with 60Hz, 144Hz or 240Hz refresh rate. Players can even switch the to 4K resolution for UltraHD content playback. The new HP OMEN X 2S gaming laptop features an Intel 9th Gen Core i9 processor coupled with up to an Nvidia RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU and up to 32GB of DDR4-3200 RAM.
The laptop also features numerous storage options including PCIe SSD, RAID 0, and Intel Teton Glacier Optane.
The HP OMEN X 2S gaming laptop also comes with all-new OMEN Tempest Cooling Technology which includes 3-sided venting for 5-way airflow and a 12V fan module with 3-phase motor and fluid dynamic bearings.
The OMEN X 2S comes with a keyboard that features a per-key RGB lighting, 1.5mm fast action key travel, and N-key rollover anti-ghosting.
The side panels feature a USB 3.1 Type-A, Thunderbolt 3, HDMI 2.0B, 3.5mm audio, and Gigabit Ethernet ports. The laptop features a full metal chassis that’s 20mm thick and weighs in at 5.2 pounds according to HP.
The upcoming HP Omen X 2S is expected to arrive in June with a starting price of $2,100.
