New GTA 5 Video Shows Reshade Mod Live in Action Using Real-Time Ray Tracing

A YouTube channel called ‘EiermannTelevision’ has shared a new Grand Theft Auto 5 video showing off the effects of the latest Reshade mod that adds real-time ray tracing Global Illumination effects to any game that supports DX9, DX10, and DX11. Notably, the new Reshade (which is currently in an alpha stage) is being created by Pascal Gilcher. The video shows how the latest Reshade mod using the real-time ray tracing can improve the overall game quality and provides better lighting in low shade areas in the game.

The 10 minutes long video shows different areas of the game showing off the gameplay in both normal mode condition and the latest Reshade mod. The video shows that how enabling the latest Reshade mod provides better visibility with improved lighting.

Since all the latest games already feature good ambient, improved graphics and baked shadows in lightmaps it will be interesting to see how the new Reshade mod effects and improves the modern day games.
