Overwatch 2019 Anniversary Event Kicks off on May 21 With New Skins, Cosmetics and More

Blizzard Entertainment has announced the scheduled date of the Overwatch anniversary event for 2019. The event will kick off on May 20 and will stay until June 10th. As part of the Overwatch celebration event, fans will be able to play Overwatch for free on all platforms (PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One) from May 21st until May 28th.

As usual, the event will bring new skins, new cosmetics items and new arena maps and more. Logging in during the duration of the event will get players bonus Legendary Anniversary Loot Box, which guarantees one Legendary item. Notably, this would be the third Overwatch Anniversary event after the last one that kicked off last year on May 14.

Players purchasing a 50 Loot Box bundle will get an extra Legendary Anniversary Loot Box including the previous seasonal event loot box items during the anniversary event.

Overwatch Origins Edition is available now for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
