Huawei Kirin 990 to Bring 4K Video Recording Support at 60fps on the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro

Huawei is expected to launch its upcoming Mate 30 series of smartphones on September 19 according to various media reports. Huawei is expected to launch two new devices including the flagship Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro at the launch event. The company is also expected to launch a special 5G variant of its Mate 30 devices, however, there isn’t any confirmation on that as of now.

The two upcoming devices are expected to be more powerful than the last year launched Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro smartphone. The upcoming Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro devices are expected to come powered by Huawei’s next-generation HiSilicon Kirin 990 SoC. To recall, the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro were launched powred by Kirin 980. But this time it is expected that both the upcoming Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro will be powered by Huawei’s Kirin 990 SoC.

The two devices are expected to come with lots of great features. Now, a report from Neowin has suggested that the Huawei 990 SoC will finally bring support for 4K video recording at 60fps on the upcoming Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro devices that were missing on the Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro.

This mean, you’ll no longer have to choose between a high resolution and a high frame rate. Huawei’s 990 SoC that powers the Huawei’s Foldable Mate X will also power the next year’s P40 series smartphones.

Huawei is expected to launch the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro on September 19. However, there aren’t many details available on the specs of the two devices. However, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro is expected to come 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate, 40MP main camera, and 4,200 mAh battery with a 55W fast-charging support.
