Realme today finally launched its two new smartphones under its new Realme 5 series. This includes the newly launched Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro smartphones and the biggest highlights of the two phones are the quad rear camera setup. Alongside, Realme also announced and revealed that the company will also launch another smartphone called the Realme XT with a 64-megapixel camera soon. Realme 5 will go on its first sale in India starting 12 pm (noon) IST on August 27 through Flipkart and Realme’s online store. Realme 5 will be available in Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple color variant. On the other hand, the Realme 5 Pro will go on its first sale starting 12 pm (noon) IST on September 4 through Flipkart and Realme’s online store.
Realme 5 features a 6.5-inch HD+ (720×1600 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. It is powered by the Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 665 SoC, paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and expandable support up to 256GB. Realme 5 runs on Color OS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie.
In terms of cameras, the Realme 5 features quad rear camera setup including a 12-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. On the front, the devices include a 13-megapixel selfie camera with AI beautification features. Lastly, the Realme 5 packs a 5,000mAh battery under the hood.
Realme 5 Pro, comes with a slightly smaller 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. It is powered by a Snapdragon 712 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and expandable support up to 256GB. I also run on runs Color OS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie out of the box.
In the camera department, Realme 5 Pro features quad rear camera setup including a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary camera, an 8-megapixel sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. On the front, the devices include a 16-megapixel selfie camera with AI beautification features. The camera on the Realme 5 Pro also features electronic image stabilization (EIS).
