Xiaomi today finally launched not one but four new devices including the all-new Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro, Mi Air Purifier 2C and its latest MIUI 11 in India. Xiaomi has done a pretty good job by launching and bringing the premium features to budget and mid-premium phones with Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro. The two phones would also be the first Redmi phones to receive the latest MIUI 11 update in December based on Android 9 Pie.
The highlights of the Redmi Note 8 includes a 48-megapixel main camera while the Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 64-megapixel main sensor.
Both the phone comes with the quad rear camera setup, notched display, fingerprint scanner at the back, a USB Type-C port and 18W fast charger in the box.
Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 8 in two variants 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB RAM and storage options. While the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be available in 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB RAM and storage options.
The Redmi Note 8 is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant while its 6GB+128GB RAM and storage variant is priced at Rs. 12,999.
On the other hand, the Redmi Note 8 Pro price starts from Rs, 14,999 for the base 6GB+64GB variant, while the 6GB+128GB of the Redmi Note 8 Pro is priced at Rs. 15,999.
Last but not least, the 8GB+128GB RAM and storage variant of the Redmi Note 8 Pro is priced at Rs. 17,999.
For the availability of the two devices, both the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro will go on its first sale starting October 21 via Mi.com, Amazon.in and Mi Home and all other retail outlets soon.
Talking about the Redmi Note 8 specs, the device features a 6.3-inch full high definition HD+ display with corning gorilla glass 5 protection. While the Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a larger 6.53-inch FHD+ dot notch display with gorilla glass 5.
The Redmi Note 8 is powered by Snapdragon 665 SoC, while the Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by a high-performance Helio G90T SoC.
If we talk about the battery capacity, the Redmi Note 8 packs a 4000mAh battery while the Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a 4500mAh battery. Xiaomi is also providing an 18W fast charger in the box with both the two devices.
In the camera departments, the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro both feature a quad rear camera setup. The Redmi Note 8 includes a main 48-megapixel camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and two 2-megapixel macro lenses.
On the other hand, the Redmi Note 8 sports a main 64-megapixel camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and two 2-megapixel macro lenses.
Some other notable features for the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro includes a 3.5mm audio jack, splash-proof from water, 90% screen-to-body ratio, IR blaster, gradient and Aura Fluid design.
