Oppo today finally launched its new Oppo Reno3 series in China. The new Reno3 series includes Oppo Reno3 5G and the Oppo Reno3 Pro 5G. Both the phones come with the dual-mode 5G network support to get a strong 5G network. The Oppo Reno3 Pro 5G comes with the Snapdragon 765G SoC. While the Reno3 is powered by a MediaTek’s octa-core Dimensity 1000. To get the best 5G network coverage, the Reno3 Pro comes with 10 cellular antennas and can also combine Wi-Fi and 5G for even faster speeds.

Oppo Reno3 Pro 5G Specs

The Oppo Reno3 Pro 5G comes in 8+128 and 12+265 GB RAM and storage options. The phone runs on ColorOS 7 with OPPO’s custom UI built on top of Android 10. The phone packs a 4025mAh battery with support for OPPO’s VOOC 4.0 charging technology. Oppo claims that VOOC 4.0 can charge the device from 3% to 50% in just 20 minutes.

Reno3 Pro also features a bigger and better 6.5-inch display with 90Hz refresh rate, 92.1% screen-to-body ratio and a peak brightness of 1100 nits.

The display houses the in-display fingerprint sensor which is now just 0.266mm thick than 2.95mm in the previous generation. The phone is also said to be the world’s thinnest 5G smartphone with its 7.7mm thickness.

The Camera

On the camera side, the new Oppo Reno3 Pro 5G comes with an improved quad rear camera setup which includes, the main 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, a 13MP telephoto lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP black and white sensor.

On the front, the phone features a 32MP punch-hole selfie camera punched at the left side on the display.

Oppo Reno3 5G Specs

The Oppo Reno3 we can say is a slightly toned-down version of the Oppo Reno3 Pro 5G. The phone shares a lot with the Pro version. But there are also some key differences which we see in the camera department, processor, RAM and storage capacity. Oppo Reno3 comes in 8+128 and 12+128 GB RAM and storage options.

Oppo Reno3 5G also features a slightly smaller, at 6.44 inches 60Hz display with waterdrop notch instead of a punch hole mechanism. The Reno3 5G also features an in-display fingerprint sensor and it is powered a MediaTek’s octa-core Dimensity 1000 SoC. The phone packs the same 4025mAh battery with support for OPPO’s VOOC 4.0 charging technology.

The Camera

The phone also features a quad rear camera setup, but the main camera is a 64MP Sony IMX686 lens. The secondary is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a black and white sensor, and a portrait lens.

Price and Availability

The Reno3 Pro will be available in four colour options – Sunrise Impression, Starry Blue, Moonlight Black, and Misty White. The phone is priced at ¥3999, roughly $572 for the 8GB+128GB variant.

On the other hand, the 12GB+256GB variant is priced at ¥4499, roughly $642. Both the 8GB+128GB variants of the two phone will be available for sale starting December 31st in China.

While the Reno3 5G will be available in Sunrise Impression, Moonlight Black, Moonlight White and Blue Starry night. The Reno3 is priced at ¥3399, roughly $485 for the 8GB+128GB variant. While the 12GB+128GB variant of the Oppo Reno3 is priced at ¥3699, roughly ($528), but there is no word on its availability yet.
