There has been much hype and rumours around regarding the display refresh rate on the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro. We saw a number of leaks in the last few days claiming the device to come with an option to choose the display refresh ranging all from up to 60hz, 90hz and 120Hz max. Now, a fresh leaked hands-on photo of the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro has arrived which shows the device to come with adjustable screen refresh rate display option up to 120Hz.
The fresh leak comes from folks at true-tech, a technology blog who posted a live hand-on leaked image of the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro. The leaked image shows the display of the phone having the options to change the refresh rate of the display from 60hz, 90hz and 120Hz.
Notably, the 120Hz refresh rate on a smartphone is the highest level of refresh rate that brings maximum smoothness to any device. However, the higher refresh rate always results in consuming more battery life of the device.
However, the report from the true-tech notes that the leaked image of the OnePlus 8 Pro could be of a pre-production test unit. So, it would be so early to say with what refresh rate the actual device will come with.
This might not be an actual device image but the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro is most likely to come with 120Hz refresh rate. Last week OnePlus CEO Pete Lau over OnePlus official forum post confirmed a 120Hz display.
Lau said that similar to the 2K+ 90 Hz Fluid Display of the OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus has once again cooperated with Samsung Display. This clearly hints that the upcoming phone from OnePlus will surely have a 120Hz refresh rate display.
