Motorola at its flagship E-vent officially launched its two new phones the Motorola Edge, which is a mid-range phone, and the flagship Motorola Edge+. The two phones are the company’s latest devices which aim at delivering the smoothest display, most powerful stereo sound 2 powered by Waves audio, and more.

Other highlights of the new Motorola Edge, Motorola Edge+ includes a stock Android 10 interface, curved edge “waterfall” display, and up to 108MP main camera on the Motorola Edge+. It’s worth noting here that both phones support 5G connectivity and comes with reverse battery charging support too.

Motorola Edge Specifications

The new Motorola Edge comes with a curved 6.7-inch full-HD+ OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC paired with up to 6GB of RAM and Adreno 620 GPU.

On the camera side, the Motorola Edge sports a quad rear camera setup which houses, a 64-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens and a ToF sensor. Upfront, the phone has a 25-megapixel selfie camera.

As for the other specs of the Motorola Edge, the phone runs Android 10 out-of-the-box and packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 18W TurboPower fast charging. Notably, Motorola Edge doesn’t support wireless charging. With the device, you get 128GB onboard storage that is expandable via a microSD card (up to 1TB).

For the connectivity options, it includes, 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, AGPS, LTEPP, SUPL, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou.

Motorola Edge+ Specifications

As we already know, Motorola Edge+ is a flagship phone thus it offers a better hardware specification compared to the Motorola Edge. However, the Edge+ lacks the dual SIM card support and only comes with a single SIM card support.

Motorola Edge+ runs on Stock Android 10 and comes with the same curved 6.7-inch size full-HD+ OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. The Edge+ is powered by Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 865 SoC, paired with a 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The phone also has the 3.5mm headphone jack.

On the camera side, the Motorola Edge+ sports a triple rear camera setup which includes a 108-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera that comes with OIS support and provides 3x optical zoom. Upfront, the phone has a 25-megapixel selfie camera.

Motorola Edge+ also features a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging. The phone comes with 256GB of non-expandable UFS 3.0 storage. You also get 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax (Wi-Fi 6), GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BDS as all the connectivity features on the phone.

Motorola Edge, Motorola Edge+ Price and Availability

In the U.S., the new Motorola Edge+ will be available exclusively on Verizon, starting May 14 for $41.66 a month for 24 months on Verizon Device Payment (0% APR; $999.99 retail). In Canada, the new Motorola Edge+ will be available at Bell, Rogers, TELUS and Freedom Mobile.

Motorola Edge, on the other hand, will be available in Italy beginning in May (MSRP: €699) and will launch to various European countries in the following weeks. In the coming months, Motorola Edge will begin to roll out across selected in Latin America and Asia Pacific.

In the U.S., the new edge will be available later this year. More information to come this summer.

Notably, Motorola hasan’t announced the India launch date and pricing yet, as it is said to be announced soon.
