OnePlus today officially launched the new OnePlus 8 series, which consists of the new OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones. The duo is the company’s latest flagships and also the successor to the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro which was launched back in last year. This time OnePlus seems to have focussed more on the display on its OnePlus 8 Pro. Notably, as one of the key highlights, OnePlus 8 Pro features a QHD+ (1440×3168 pixels) resolution display with up to 120Hz refresh rate for more fluid viewing experience.
The OnePlus 8 Pro display also includes several other notable improvements on its display. This includes 1300 Nits peak brightness, 240Hz Tuch Sapling Rate, etc. Other key highlights of the two phones include Snapdragon 865, 5G support, up to 12GB of RAM.
The OnePlus 8 Pro is priced in the US at $899 (roughly Rs. 68,400 INR) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option. While, the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at $999 (roughly Rs. 76,000 INR).
The OnePlus 8 Pro will be available for sale starting April 21 in the UK (and other European regions) and April 29 in the US. The pro version will be available in Glacial Green, Onyx Black, and Ultramarine Blue (only for 12GB + 256GB) colour options.
On the other hand, the OnePlus 8 is priced in the US at $699 (roughly Rs. 53,200 INR) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option. While, the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at $799 (roughly Rs. 60,800 INR).
The OnePlus 8 will also be available for sale starting April 21 in the UK (and other European regions) and April 29 in the US. The OnePlus 8 will be available in Glacial Green and Interstellar Glow (only for 12GB+256GB) colour options. There is also a Polar Silver colour announced exclusively to Verizon.
Notably, OnePlus has announced that the India price and availability will be announced on a later date soon.
