Today we had very bad news for fans of The Last of Us 2, as it was announced that the sequel would be delayed because of the coronavirus (COVID-19). The wait, be it days or months, will definitely belong for the followers who waited patiently for it, since it is their second delay. In the same way, today we learned that expectations are still very high and it was anticipated that the story will divide the opinion of the fans.
This is according to Troy Baker, the one in charge of giving voice to Joel in the 2 installments. As Baker explained in an interview with Fandom, in The Last of Us 2, Joel will not be the main character, but that does not mean that the character will not develop; On the contrary, the sequel served to make the actor know more about Joel’s “truth”.
Troy Baker also invited to play the new installment with an open mind, as he believes it will be different compared to the original adventure and believes that the story will challenge what players think about the game, the world and even the characters and will cause them to question the adventure.
Something important that the voice actor confessed is that, after Druckmann told him in broad strokes and for the first time the story, he was impressed and praised the work of the creative. However, Baker thinks it will divide the players.
“I don’t know whether people are going to like it or they’re going to hate it, but they definitely will NOT be ambivalent about it,” said Baker, who did not elaborate on this, but that is enough to make fans to play the sequel.
The Last of Us: Part II was supposed to release in May, but with the new delay there is no new release date, but it is expected to arrive this year exclusively for PlayStation 4.
