Maybe you can remember the PSN entry for The Red Door, as it was associated with Call of Duty 2020. In the meantime, this entry also appeared in the Xbox Store.
An entry for a project called “The Red Door” was discovered in the official Xbox Store. This is not the first time we have heard this term. After all, the title appeared in the PlayStation Store a few weeks ago. Even then, it was suspected that it was the code name for the alpha test of the new Call of Duty 2020, which is rumored to be located in the Cold War.
The product description for “The Red Door” is not very meaningful. It only says: “There is more than one truth. If you go looking for answers, be ready to question everything and accept that nothing will ever be the same. The Red Door awaits, do you dare step through it?”
You cannot buy “The Red Door” for now. The game can only be obtained via a code. And it’s not too small: While Activision Blizzard has mentioned in the Xbox Store as a publisher and a shooter is referenced, the “approximate size” of the title is 81.65 GB. For comparison: The entry in the PlayStation Store was only 71 GB.
After the most recent product entry, speculation can of course be made. The title of “The Red Door” could indicate that the unveiling of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, or whatever the title may be, is not long in coming. As mentioned at the beginning, Activision takes plenty of time this year: usually, the unveiling of new Call of Duty games takes place much earlier in the year.
As soon as there is an official announcement, you will find it out from us.
