Paper Beast, the new title from Pixel Reef, is about to make its PC debut. A trailer had previously been published by the developers themselves, who went to illustrate the title but only as regards to its PlayStation VR version. The new video released shows some images of the title for the VR version on PC, and the official launch date of the game for the same platform.

The video is very similar to the one that appeared on the net together with the first rumors about the release of Paper Beast for PC. The game will be structured on the same original base for PlayStation VR but will contain some changes, such as continuous movement in addition to more precise shadows and improved rendering for water and sand textures.

The developers say that, in addition to having a vast virtual space to immerse the player, there will be the possibility of finding – in the immense game maps – a vast series of entities.

“Somewhere in the abyssal depths of the internet, life has blossomed,” Pixel Reef said. “You are the first human to set foot in this mysterious ecosystem. A strange force seems to weigh on its balance. Join forces with intriguing and endearing creatures to solve the puzzles of Paper Beast.”

For the moment we just have to wait for the new version of the title, which will be released for PC on July 24, 2020, and will be available for purchase on Steam, and Oculus Store.

It also appears that Paper Beast will be compatible with Valve Index, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Windows Mixed Reality.
