As you well know, on August 19 Activision announced the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War with a teaser trailer. As can be seen from the full-bodied clip, the reveal of the famous first-person shooter of the American giant will take place on Wednesday 26 August with an in-game event in Call of Duty: Warzone.
In the past few hours, some dataminers have discovered, by analyzing the files of the now-famous battle royale developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, new references to a possible open beta of the game and, given Sony’s marketing agreement with the brand, it cannot be ruled out that it may receive a pre-launch test on PlayStation 4 (PS4).
But that’s not all, given that the data miners have managed to identify the “Woods Operator Pack” in the code, which can be used in both Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. As fans of the iconic Activision franchise know, Frank Woods is one of the main characters of the previous Black Ops.
In addition to this, some references to a “Confrontatiogn Weapons Pack”, “Land, Sea and Air Pack” and a Battle Pass bundle for the first season of the US company’s next FPS were also discovered.
We just have to wait for Wednesday 26 August to find out what the brand new title will have in store for us. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and later to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
