Fitbit has unveiled its most advanced smartwatch that comes with some of the health features that you won’t even find on the Apple watch. Yes, you heard me right, the new Fitbit Sense smartwatch comes with some of the features that you would hardly find in any other available smartwatches including Apple Watch and Samsung’s newly launched Galaxy Watch 3.
The new Fitbit health smartwatch called the Sense comes with an ECG app that can detect an irregular heart rhythm. The new Fitbit Sense smartwatch also comes with the world’s first EDA Sensor for Stress Management, SpO2 and Skin Temperature Sensors. Below Fitbit describes how the new EDA sensor works.
The new Fitbit Sense comes with an ECG app that works on Fitbit’s new PurePulse 2.0 technology, with an all-new multi-path heart rate sensor and an updated algorithm. The watch features SpO2 to give you an insight into your nightly average SpO2 levels (amount of oxygen in your blood).
Fitbit also says that the early findings from their COVID-19 study have shown that the Premium dashboard metrics including (breathing rate, resting heart rate and heart rate variability) can also be detected by Fitbit devices simultaneously with the onset of COVID-19 symptoms and in some cases even before.
The watch comes with an AMOLED display that also features an integrated ambient light sensor to automatically dim the screen for easier viewing, along with an optional always-on display mode. The Watch is said to come with a battery that can last for up to 6+ days on a single charge.
Alongside, Fitbit also launched Versa 3 and Inspire 2 smartwatches. The new Versa 3 now comes with GPS and a speaker and Inspire 2 with an enhanced design and Active Zone Minutes (AZM).

Fitbit Sense, Fitbit Versa 3 and Fitbit Inspire 2 are now available for pre-order in the US from the Fitbit.com and online at select retailers. The new watches will be available worldwide starting in late September.
