In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla some content is discussed that is apparently not suitable for children. These include sexual representations and the consumption of magic mushrooms.
The upcoming action-adventure “=Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was recently rated by the ESRB. And the summary reveals some minor details that were not previously revealed.
While most of the points of the description were basically known, including the extent of the violence and the brutal fight, further details reveal that you will visit a brothel in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, for example.
The ESRB assessment also shows that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will address so-called “magic mushrooms”. That means that Ubisoft does not want to neglect the intoxication either. If you eat these mushrooms, you will see a distortion and discoloration of the scenes shown on the screen. This is intended to simulate the psychoactive to hallucinogenic effect.
“A handful of sequences depict screen distortion/discoloration and impaired movements after players’ character consumes mushrooms or inhales mushroom-based fumes (dialogue states, “I may still be buzzing from these mushrooms.”),” the description of ESRB says.
This is a feature that corresponds to reality. Because the self-induced intoxication is truly nothing that can only be observed today. Among other things, drugs were used in various rituals. The effects of certain mushrooms are said to have been known more than 5,000 years ago.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be released worldwide on November 17th, 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X is also planned. Corresponding dates have not yet been revealed.
